This beautiful pin vase was acquired in Tunis, Tunisiain an antique shop. Tunis, Tunisia was where the Arab spring begins. During my travels through Tunisia, I saw no evidence of civil unrest or violence. The old Medina in Tunis is extraordinary and is where the vase was acquired. For further information regarding my trip to Tunis, Tunisia and North Africa, consult, journal #27 dated 2013.
This Cuban pin was acquired in Havana, Cuba at one of Hemingway‘s haunts. While traveling throughout Cuba, I found Havana to be extraordinary. In the first day in Havana I had taken more pictures in any one place. There was just so much usual stuff going on from the 1950s antique cars to the magnificent Cuban/ Spanish architecture which had not been maintained for over 50 years. For further information regarding my travels on the island of Cuba, consult, journal #22 dated 2006.
This is a very unusual Green Conk shell that was acquired in the Philippines.
One of the most extraordinary celebrations for a saint I’ve ever attended was in the Philippines. I love the Philippines and its people. I travel all the way south to Mindanao and General Santos. For further information regarding my travels to the Philippines, consult, journal #17 dated 2008.
