South Pacific

There are many sovereign countries in the South Pacific that are recognized by the United Nations. They include over 2000 islands throughout the region.
All of the islands are very remote, and most are extremely beautiful. Some of my fondest memories are my visits to Fiji, Tonga, Rarotonga, Tahiti, Bora-Bora, Marshall Islands, Yup, Palau, Tuvalu, and Kiribati. I expected travel in the South Pacific to be challenging due to the immense distances between islands but found it to be simple and economical. Its people all need to travel between the islands and are of modest means, so public transportation between islands was very available and affordable.
